NEW JERSEY: Medford parish 'goes solar'
St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Medford, New Jersey, recently blessed a new 50,000-watt solar-panel system on the roof of its building that will eventually generate between 75 and 80 percent of the electricity the parish needs.

St. Peter's Goes Solar; Creative Financing
[Medford (NJ) Central Record] St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Medford, New Jersey, went looking for a way to change its consumption of power in an environmentally friendly way. Father Don Muller had heard about a meeting with the Diocese in North Jersey concerning solar power. Muller decided solar power would be a perfect fit for St. Peter’s.

Counting down to Copenhagen
[Episcopal News Service] Bell ringing, postcard campaigns and community connections will point the way to Copenhagen when congregations join in the International Day of Climate Action on Saturday, October 24.
Organized by the 350.org campaign, this year's annual celebration will call for a fair climate treaty when world leaders gather in Copenhagen in December.

In preparation for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference Of Parties (COP) Meetings to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark in December, the Anglican Communion Environmental Network (ACEN) has issued a statement to Anglicans Worldwide, to COP Delegates, Faith Community Representatives, Observer Organizations, and Friends of Creation.
